Homogeneous catalysis for the transformation of renewables

Abstract

The transformation of renewable and bio-sourced compounds is a major challenge for present and future chemical research. In this context, catalytic processes will play a major role to ensure efficient transformations with reduced environmental impacts. Our results on the implementation of olefin metathesis for the synthesis of bio-sourced polymer precursors and fine chemicals as well as recent developments on the transformation of oxygenated platform chemicals will be presented.
